Complete operations and maintenance under one umbrella

Train operations involve 4 major components apart from the rolling stocks and staff.

They are:

  1. P.Way
  2. Signaling & Telecommunications
  3. OHE equipment
  4. Operations
  • IPRCL with the mandate entrusted to take over the entire maintenance of the port rail system.
  • IPRCL has already taken over S&T maintenance of Kamarajar Port Limited (KPL)-Ennore.
  • In process of taking over Track Maintenance of KPL, V.O.Chidambaranar Port Trust (VoCPT) & Visakhapatnam Port Trust(VPT)
  • Looking for taking over of Track maintenance of other ports also.
  • In nutshell, IPRCL will be the Operator & Maintainer of the entire Port Rail System which includes Track maintenance; S&T maintenance, and manning the operating cabins required for doing the entire train operations in port yards.
